With that in mind, we’ve released some dates for our winter wreath design workshops so that you can plan ahead and get yourself booked in early to avoid any disappointment (places fill up fast!). The Origin of Christmas Wreaths

Although ornamental wreath arrangements can be hung up in the home at any time of year, the traditional Christmas wreath is undeniably a universal symbol of the festive season. The word “wreath” originally comes from the Old English word “writhan” which means “to twist,” and have been made by a variety of different cultures over the centuries.

Probably the most familiar type of wreath is those connected with Christmas and Christianity. The circular shape of a wreath is thought to symbolise the unending love of God, and the idea of eternal life. For lots of people, however, wreaths are simply a lovely, festive way to decorate the home over the holiday season, and it’s easy to see why.
