Floral Wedding Arrangements Perfect for Intimate Spaces
The Covid 19 pandemic may have put a dampener on our wedding celebrations over the past year or so, but recent lifting of lockdown now allows marriages to take place in England with up to 6 people, including the couple, in attendance. And thankfully, as of April 12th, we should be allowed up to 15 people at a wedding ceremony and reception.
But a smaller wedding doesn’t mean it’s any less special, and there’s still plenty that can be done from a floral point of view with a smaller ceremony and more intimate spaces. As an established florist in Sheffield, here are a few tips on floral wedding arrangements that are just perfect for smaller gatherings, and still sure to make an impact on your big day.
Invest in Centrepieces
Although the overall design of your centrepieces ideally depends on the shape and size of the tables at your reception, even intimate venues can handle show stopping centrepieces with some careful thought and clever design. Smaller tables? Go tall with long stems and gradual height differences. Larger tables? Make the most of the space with volume and colour.
Creative Floral Archways
Floral archways are a great creative wedding trend that lend themselves very well to smaller, more intimate venues. Not only do they make a great addition to a traditional church doorway, they can be a lovely addition to any doorway through which you wish to welcome your guests. Another advantage is that they take up little space, but still create a big impact!
Crown Yourself
The Instagram worthy floral crown is another great way of adding floral details to intimate weddings. Why decorate your venue with flowers when you can decorate yourself, right?! Not only that, they’re a lovely way of adding a touch of festival chic to your summer wedding. Pick bright, colourful blooms for summer, or why not add dark berries and foliage for Autumn or Winter?
